My AR -15 with the BJones Rear Sight Installed
AR KIT: This kit is designed
to replace the ORIG. EQUIP. Rear Sight Leaf Assy. on The AR's, SR's,
and M-16's. The B JONES AR KIT Includes: 1 New
Sight Leaf, 1 Hood w/ lens, 5 apertures, 1 socket
tool, and assembly instructions. The New Sight Leaf has the standard
1/2 minute thread for the windage screw [#10X36 TPI] i.e. Colt, Bushmaster,
RockRiver, Olympic, and Armalite. The Upper Hole is 7/32"
X 40 threads and the base of the leaf is an .042" aperture,
for those rainy days, just remove the Hood and 'flip' the leaf up. The
Hood Assy. is: 1 Hood, 1 lens, 1
0'ring, and 1 lenscap. The 4 apertures
range from 1 = .042" up to # 5 = .059" (THE
.036" APERTURE IS NO LONGER INCLUDED IN THE AR-KIT )
The socket tool is 8 inches long to make aperture changing
easy [(NOTE: the apertures are placed on the Forward side of the
threads of the Hood)] The Tool has a screwdriver blade on the opposite
end to use in the "SLOT" on the threaded end of the Hood. The Lens
Cap is now a Hex Cap.. the same size as the Aperture Tool.
This Rear Sight product has
made it possible for the 'Older' Shooter to take up the AR 'Game' and
see the Sight Picture well enough to compete and win on a National
level. When the 'Proper' power lens is used with the correct size
aperture, the rewards are obvious immediately. One Midwest Shooter
recently reported " My score didn't improve, but I didn't have a
headache at the end of the day". He also stated " I'm a High Master
and I usually shoot a 197 average" Others respond, "Are you
SURE this is legal?" Yes, " It's Legal " for every type of
Hi-Power Shooting except Inner-Marine Corps Competition . Legal for
NRA Serv. Rifle, Match Rifle, Inter Service, and THE CMP Competitions,
..Local, Regional and National Levels.
NOTE: TO PREVENT THE INVENTORY FROM GETTING OUT-OF-HAND,
BJONES SIGHTS WILL NO LONGER EXCHANGE COLOR LENSES
B Jones Sights HAS a New AR Option available. The New Option will be "Left-Hand Threads", for the Match Rifle Shooters who shy away from the AR's windage direction. The Option will be available in 1/2 minute windage and will turn the same direction as the windage knob on their bolt rifle. The "Screw and Leaf" will sell for $15.00 plus your requested shipping option. I will only offer this assembly with the #12 X 40 tpi, the thread for the B Jones Hoods.
Due
to requests from the Shooters, B Jones will offer a 1/4 minute Windage
Leaf
and Screw
as part of the AR Kit. The NEW
"1/4 MIN. OPTION" will cost an additional $10.00 . The Screw
and Leaf will have 56

The Threaded Base / Rear Sight Leaf in the center is; ##10
X 36 TPI for 'windage' threads.
All this means is that the threads are the Industry Standard for
the Windage Screw and you will re-use the original screw that comes with
the rifle.
The New 1/4 min. Leaf are the same specs as above description,
except the Leaf and Screw
will have 56
TPI for those who want the USMC Match Threaded Rear Sight.
The Aluminum Tool at the top is for removing the Hex-Caps.
The other end of the Aluminum Tool has a screwdriver blade to use when
the Hood is being removed. Now shown in the upper right corner. This is
the
Tool used to Torque the Hood-to-Leaf Threads when you use the Slot
Provided on the Threaded part of the Hood.
The Hood Is in the top right corner : NOTE: The 1:00 area of the threads has a Notch, This is the Notch you use to Loosen the torque of the Hood into the Base.
The Lens Cap is pictured in the lower right corner with the 0'ring.
Next, to remove the Lens, It's best to stick a needle into the '0-ring',
Peel-Out the 0-ring then tap the Hood
gently. If this doesn't get the lens out, then remove the Hood and
tap the Hood on a solid-flat surface. Be
sure to look into the Hood after each tap, to avoid hitting the
removed lens with the edge of the Hood.
When you re-install the lens, be sure that the high side of the 'Dome' will face the front sight, when the Hood is re-installed into the leaf.

Customer Comments:
Bob,
... I just tried the new AR
Sight at a local 200 yd. range, and noted a vast difference in what I can
now see. I handed the rifle to a friend of mine at the firing line, without
saying what to look for. He was amazed and after numerous questions, he
too, decided to 0rder a sight kit for his AR....

The Photo below shows the 'Side View' of the B Jones Hood
installed on an AR 15.If you look real close you'll see that the lens cap
is visible, but this should not effect your position or scratch your glasses.
