REDFIELD INT'L. / OLY. Rear Sight: With a B JONES " AR-HOOD" ASSY/w/lens. With the AR Hood on the front of the Windage bar of the sight, the shooter can continue to use a Merit rear disc for the adjustable iris or use a fixed iris from Williams or Lyman. NOTE: Some Redfield, Williams, and Lyman Rear Sight Assemblies will require the shooter to 'chase' the threads with a # 12x40 tap or 7/32"x40 [they are the same] . Also some 'sights'are "low-profile", and the Hood will need to be' Tapered' a little to clear the'windage scale' of the sight.
To install a BJones AR or TAC
HOOD
on an Int'l, the threads in the 'windage hump' will need to be
'Chased'
with a 7 / 32 [#12] X 40 tpi Tap to insure the threads are
Good all the way through. It would be best to ship me your
Int'l, and I'll fit the sight before I ship it back.
UPDATE: The
New Hoods are READY
for shipment to those who need a lens in their
Williams
Redfield Lyman Rear Sights!!
The New Hoods will have
an
Extra 1/4" of shoulder between the threads and Hood to reach the Rear
Sight
Hump. There will still be a need to "Chase-Out" the threads if you wish
to put the Hood on the forward side of the Rear Sight and continue to
use
a Merit rear aperture.
NOTE: The Windage Scale Will need to
be Removed !! See
