LINKS N' THINGS
BJONESSIGHTS WILL AGAIN BE TRAVELING
FROM JUNE THRU SEPT '07.
ORDERS WILL BE PROCESSED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE
VIA USPS PRIORITY MAIL
1. A "Nasal Aspirator" found in the 'Baby Dept'. at most discount stores. They cost about $3.00 and will usually dislodge small deposits of water, lint, dust or those *&^%$ things that annoy the sight-picture maker. I recommend the use of this, before you use anything that actually touches the Lens. When there's no alternative, use a contact lens cleaner, in the spray bottle and the softest old piece of cotton cloth found . . . a piece from an old T-shirt works super.
2. A 10 inch piece of PVC will hold the AR Kit, Tool and Hex-Caps. That way the tool won't get bent while it's in the Shooter's Stool and the hex-caps, in another little bag, inside the PVC. This way, everything will be in one pile and you'll know where it's at. HA ! NOTE : if you get a 1.25" dia. PVC, an opaque, 35mm film bottle, will just fit inside.
3. For those AR Shooters that shoot in an area, where there is lots of rain, like Camp Perry, I recommend that you assess what size aperture you prefer on those dark days. Then, on the 'base' aperture, drill out the .042" hole to that size. This way when the rain moves-in, you just remove the AR Hood, 'Flip-up' the rear sight leaf, and shoot with the 'Iron' sight aperture. Seeing a 'fuzzy' sight-picture is better than 'a wet sight-picture'.
4. As mentioned in another section, I recommend a 'back-up' lens or Hood Assembly. It's dreadful to be out of the match for that kind of reason. A 'Glove' or 'ammo' or 'scope' can be borrowed but vision devices are unique to your needs. I recommend, a lens or hood with one step stronger. You'll probably need it sooner or later anyhow.
5. The Match Rifle sight fixtures are very simple to R&R, so if you have a selection, of 3 or 4, you'll find, you can 'Fine-Tune' the sight picture during the 'Prep Period'.
6. For those of you with the M-1 / M-14's Sights, note the changes that you can make to your Rear Sight Ramp Teeth {Photo on SR Page}. By Grinding Off the Blank Area of the Ramp {below the teeth}, You, TOO, can change your Aperture Size. Just Zipp-Out the one Hood-Ramp Assy, and Zipp-In the other. Size, Color, andPower Can be Changed All with the Elevation Knob. There Will be a Different Zero on each Hood Assy.

Below are some important links. These are "People" that I've dealt with
for many of the years, that I've been involved in the Shooting Sports.
My Hat is Off To Them, ONE and ALL. Thank You.
