M-1 : M-1A : M-14
This is the SR Type product line for the M-1,
M-14, and M-1A with the Match Hood Rear Sight. The SR Kit includes
a Lens and 2 0'rings ONLY No
Hood. No it's NOT LEGAL for the John
Garand Match, but it's Totally LEGAL for all other competitions, including
the NRA Serv. Rifle, the CMP [Leg Point] Competitions, and
even the Weekend 'PLINKER' can use one ! Not long ago in Las
Vegas, an older Retired Marine was admiring an M-1 on display when he remarked:
" I'd sure like to have one of those again, but I can't 'See' the sights
anymore." Phil Arrington from "Arrington Accuracy", offered
that M-1 to the fellow and said: "Here, look through 'these sights', there's
a little lens in there for us "older" [?] Shooters." The rest
is History as they say. That same fellow bought an M-1 from Phil and a
lens from me. And about a year later, he called to order an
AR-15 from Phil and an AR-Kit from me.

THE SR KIT : To install, first clean out the inside of the Hood. Stand the rifle on the muzzle and drop in the small 0'ring. Next drop the lens into the Hood, Dome side toward the front sight. Now get the large 0'ring started into the Hood : HINT, start all of the leading edge, then work the rest of the 0'ring in like you do with putty...pushing in circular motions. If you need to remove the Lens for cleaning, push a pointed tool [needle] into the 0'ring at the elevation notch and peel out the 0'ring. You then push against the outer edge of the Lens , to tip it over, "like a manhole cover". Then turn the rifle muzzle up and the Lens should fall out.
NOTE: TO PREVENT THE INVENTORY FROM GETTING OUT-OF-HAND, BJONES SIGHTS WILL NO LONGER EXCHANGE COLOR LENSES
