WELCOME S.O.F. READERS

TACTICAL SIGHTS
This is a "Spinoff" of the AR-Kit in that The
TAC #'s Product Line is primarily for the Tactical Shooter
and Law Enforcement. This is being well received by the Agencies
that have tested it. The unique difference between the AR Type
and the TAC type is that the TAC is a shorter Hood with the Lens
being held in place by an 0'ring. The AR type lens has a lenscap.
The TAC threads are also shorter, so that the operator can 'Flip' the Hood
forward and look through the Base Aperture or 'Ghost Ring' as some call
it. This Feature is very handy for a "close-in" shot when there is
no need for an "Improved" sight picture, that the Lens in the Hood provides.
Some have also found that the "Improved" sight picture shows the errors
in sight alignment that accounted for 'stray' shots; they no longer have
"BAD AMMO". Another GOOD side effect of the TAC Hood is that the Shooter
will find it MUCH FASTER and EASIER to acquire the 'Sight-Picture'
in a Tactical Match, Timing is Just as Important as Score.
I don't yet have the 'Rules' in print, but from what I've heard, the TAC
Rear Sight IS LEGAL at most 'Tactical IPSC, SOF,
and " 3 GUN MATCHES". As I get Rules on this, I will up date the
Web. Peter Kokalis, Tech. Editor from SOF has indorsed the Product
Line for the AR, TAC, and the M14/ M1A. The 3 GUN NATIONALS
in Louisiana had Winner and 4th Place using the TAC Sight.
An 'Excellent' showing by Todd Salmon and John Cook.
