TANG REAR SIGHT ASSEMBLIES: There are many different
ways to 'Adapt' a B JONES Lens Fixture to your rear sight.
A few examples are pictured here to showthat with a little custom fitting,
you can have an improved 'sight picture' on a large number of your long-guns.Check-out
the "More Views" for some Typical Tang Rear Sights used on the Single-Shot,
BlackPowder, and Replicas of the Early Cartridge Rifles. An example of
what can be done to an 1886 Winchester Rear Sight. The use of a Merit
Rear Disc and a B JONES AR Hood combined together to make an improved sight-picture
available. The same changes can be achieved on the Lyman, Marble,
and Smith Ent. Rear Sights as well. Most of these rear sights will
need to have the thread changed or 'chased-out' to use the B JONES Products,
so think long and hard before you decide you can't see that WINCHESTER
HI-WALL Front sight anymore. The applied modification's to the different
types of Rifles Sights, are viewed in the 'More Views', lower on
this page.
THIS VIEW SHOWS THE PROTOTYPE FOR THE
BLACKPOWDER RIFLES. THE TUBE IS .550" long .250 dia.
at the knurl with # 10 X 32 tpi. AND is designed to fit the MVA and
1st Generation BALDWIN.
